Fairhope, AL is beautiful any time of the year with its mild temperatures, gorgeous sunsets over Mobile Bay, vibrant small town atmosphere, excellent shopping, arts, and outdoor recreation, and its proximity to the Gulf beaches. But April is arguably one of our prettiest months with spring flowers everywhere. And with daily temperatures averaging 71 degrees for a high and 53 degrees for a low and average rainfall only 2 inches, the weather is on our side. 12:00 am April 11  – 12:00 pm April 18 (a full week) Fairhope Living Magazine invites you to experience Fairhope's Inaugural Restaurant Week. Spend the week dining out for chances to win one of 26 $50 gift cards to participating restaurants. 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (Tuesday - Saturday). Don't miss the current exhibits at the Eastern Shore Art Center just down the street from Jubilee Suites. Charlie Lucas' exhibit of metal art is especially interesting because he is self-taught and descends from several generations of artisans and craftspeople, including his grandfather and great grandfather who were blacksmiths. He traces his work directly from them. Exhibit available until May 2, 2021. Paul R. Jones Museum Museum Director Daniel White describes Lucas: “If you know Charlie Lucas, then you know he has no limits with his imagination, and the universe is his studio.” More information here.

9:00 am - 5:00 pm (Tuesday - Saturday). If you enjoy local history when you travel, you won't want to miss the Fairhope Museum of History. Full of local artifacts and fascinating stories, the newest exhibit is "Dogwoods: More Than External Beauty", located on the second floor of the museum. Learn more about the unique history of the Dogwood Trail Court that has been an Eastern Shore tradition for 61 years. More than just pretty faces! The exhibit will be up for 1 year, ending in March of 2022, and will be replaced with a new one.

3:00 - 6:00 pm (Thursdays). Hosted by the City of Fairhope and featuring locally grown produce, honey, baked goods, and other edibles plus plants, flowers and more. Fun to visit. You never know what you'll find! Every Thursday beginning in April through July 8.

10:00 am - 5:00 pm (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). Rescheduled this year from its usual weekend in March and also changed to featuring only Alabama artists, this annual event is always a highlight on Fairhope's Spring calendar. This is the 69th year of the festival and one the locals and visitors alike always look forward to. In fact, anytime Fairhope closes the streets for an event, it's sure to be great fun. 10:00 am (Saturdays). Fairhope April Walking Tours will begin at 10am each Saturday in April at the Fairhope Welcome Center. Open to the public and free. Each week is different! This is a great way to enjoy our gorgeous April weather and see the town at the same time. Maybe even make a new friend!

5:00 - 7:00 pm (Mondays). Enjoy local music each Monday in a listening room environment at The Book Cellar, a local favorite event hangout attached to the Page and Palette Bookstore. Check the Book Cellar's Facebook page to see who is playing in April and prepare to live like a local. Also some of the best craft beer in town on tap along with a full bar.

7:00 - 9:00 pm (1st and 3rd Mondays). Join the locals in a fun ballroom dance event open to the public. The next dance is on April 19 and features live music from J R Owen and Thom Oglesby. $10 per person. BYOB and your ballroom shoes and dance the night away. No partner needed. 3:00 pm. Calling all football fans! Come see one or more of the home games of this local semi-pro football team. And you can't miss the Storm Troopers, a dedicated group of cheerleaders who keep spirits high. More info here on their website.

5:00 - 7:30 pm. Hope you got tickets to this outdoor concert on the lawn at Halstead Auditorium with the best in local music. Join Fairhope residents for this highly anticipated event with two of our favorite local bands. BYO snacks and beverages of your choice along with chairs and blankets for lawn seating.
