They say life begins after breakfast and at Jubilee Suites, we take that very seriously! ❤️ Read any of our guests' reviews on Google or Airbnb and you'll agree that breakfast at Jubilee Suites is something our guests simply love. As one of our most recent guests wrote, "The breakfasts in the morning were AMAZING!"
My husband Jim is the main reason for the stellar reviews and I feel so fortunate that he's always been a great cook. He and I are up early each day getting the kitchen and our Bay View dining areas ready for our guests. Jim has a different menu plan each day and he makes sure our guests always have several choices of made-to-order breakfast items along with lots of featured side items. When you've made your choices, we'll serve you in our Bay View great room or outside on our Bay View porch. When we have a full house, we sometimes serve 35 people between 8 am and 10 am.
In reality, breakfast begins the day before it's served when Jim makes a couple loaves of sourdough bread. It's an all-day process using a recipe he's adapted from Holy Cow Vegan that's not only delicious, it's also healthy. As the website says, "sourdough has a powerful effect on blood sugar: when left to work its fermenting magic, it breaks down the starches in the foods it's added to, making them easier to digest. Sourdough is also probiotic, which means it is packed with healthy gut bacteria, so you can feel truly holier-than-thou when you smear this bread with some peanut butter or use it to cradle a delicious vegan burger." No sourdough starter on hand? Jim has a stash he feeds daily; if you ask him, he might share some of it with you.
A new breakfast menu item Jim has begun making is Avocado Toast using sourdough bread he griddles in butter. It's full of delicious homemade ingredients- fresh avocados, Jim's garlic-infused olive oil, seasoned tomatoes, lemon juice, and his pickled red onions. He is already famous on 3 continents for his amazing guacamole and he uses his secret ingredient, Tajin seasoning, in both recipes. It's SO good!
Another guest favorite is our Baked Oatmeal, one of several long-time family recipes we've also shared on our website. See my Grandma's Chopped Apple Cake and my Mom's Banana Bread recipes there too. Each of these family favorites is also a guest favorite that makes its way into rotation on our breakfast menus.
After raising 3 always-hungry boys, we love to feed your children! We always have a choice of omelets, which can, of course, be modified to your family's tastes plus other egg dishes we make to order. In addition to our griddle items we always have several featured buffet items such as biscuits, sausage gravy, Potatoes O'Brien, spanakopita, cheesy grits, French toast casserole or quiche and a daily choice of meat. And we always have fresh fruit and berries, Greek yogurt, fresh juices, cereals, and granola plus coffee, tea, and other buffet items. Ask for Jim's Snickerdoodle Pancakes made with cinnamon chips or his special waffles. We try to please your family with a variety of foods to fuel you for your adventures in Fairhope!
If you've got dietary restrictions of any sort, including the need for diabetic-friendly, gluten-free or dairy-free breakfasts, we can usually accommodate them. We recently had a guest who was gluten-intolerant and Jim researched and then served him a variety of breakfast items he could eat while staying with us. If you need special food items, just let us know your restrictions and preferences after you make your reservation in one of our family-size suites.
If you would prefer to skip all this deliciousness, your suite also has a fully-furnished kitchen and full-size refrigerator so you can choose to create your own food masterpieces for your family. We'll be glad to point you toward grocery stores or caterers with local ingredients or ready-made dishes. And we have several great breakfast restaurants in the area as well. Living along the Gulf, we have loads of fresh-caught seafood and locally-raised produce for your family to enjoy.
Check out our suites and book right on our website for the best rates. And feel free to give us a call if you want help making your reservation or if you'd like more information about Jubilee Suites or the Fairhope, AL area. We hope to serve you breakfast this year!
